Students will understand the importance of marketing themselves as a performer and receive a professional headshot by the end of the camp. Agencies will be invited to workshop with the youth and view their final presentation, which will give them a chance to be represented by a talent agency.

Although natural talent can be an asset, acquiring the proficiencies of acting is no different than learning any other skill. It begins with fundamentals, which are built upon through observation, interaction, and practice. The staff of Red Light Arts will guide students to a successful presentation, from selecting materials to creating interpretations to polishing delivery to final performance.

Is this program just for youth interested in the arts?

Well, acting is not just for actors! Acting is the art of representation as well as presentation. It's the skill of combining message with delivery in a live and collaborative way that informs, enlightens, entertains, and sometimes moves an audience to change. Our kids are future businesses, therefore, the ability to present oneself, one’s ideas, or one’s proposals with confidence and poise is key for success in their journey through life. Youth participants will become more disciplined and gain incredible communication skills to equip them for life long opportunities.

Classes/ Workshops:

Acting- Participants will learn fundamental skills of acting for stage, television and film.
